The last straw has broke...

And I'm done...finished...my wits end is so far behind me I can't see it any more. This weekend was the final straw...our neighbours upstairs were so damn loud they woke up Arielle...twice...after 9:30pm. So not only was it during her nighttime sleep it was at the beginning when she's usually in a deep sleep...they were SO LOUD they woke her out of a deep sleep! Jonathan tried to go upstairs to ask them, AGAIN, to keep it down...they didn't answer the door. He tried tapping the ceiling with a broom handle the STOMPED THEIR FEET in response. They are, for lack of a better term, assholes.

We want a house...we need a house...we don't know how long it will take for us to feasibly actually get a house...but now we're going to stop talking about it and at least try to do something. I'm sick of throwing my rent money away every month instead of putting it toward equity...I'm tired of having to live with other people's noises and problems and I'm mostly absolutely ANNOYED with people's utter lack of respect when living in an apartment. In short...I'm done like dinner.

In other news Arielle is getting very close to sitting by herself. Right now she can support herself if she's using the nursing pillow for support...however it's only when she decides to support herself...after awhile she'll lounge back as though she's in a lazy boy...it's kinda funny.

She's starting to play more these days and is actually bringing toys to her mouth...or just putting her mouth on toys that happen to fall across its path.

Her nights are getting longer...she almost hit 7 hours last night and is pretty consistent with her 6 hour sleeps...so I really only have to feed her once at night which is fantastic. I'm sure this will change as her teeth come in but I'm taking whatever I can get right now and heck if she can sleep (for the most part) with the storm troopers upstairs then I'm even more impressed.

She's started to notice the cat a bit more these days. She hasn't reached out for Miss Mao yet but she does watch her walk around as though she may be thinking "hmm that stuffed animal moves by itself". I'm waiting for the inevitable tail pulling but I'm sure that's further down the road...at least I hope it is for Miss Mao's sake...lol Although it would be funny to see what she'd do. I've been playing rough with Mao and not letting her scratch to condition her to rough treatment which of course means Arielle isn't going to care at all about the cat and I've been tormenting her for no reason...lol

This morning I went and worked out, it wasn't easy to get out of the house because it is progressively getting colder and my bed is becoming more and more appealing at 5:30 in the morning but I'm still trying to reach my second goal. I'm almost there just a few more weeks of working the legs and butt and I'll be able to fit into my American Eagle pants again...then my third and final goal is to fit into my red dress for my cousin's wedding...we'll see how I do...lol Christmas might set me back although I'll try to do some working out then, I'll just do baby curls and walk around the block at my parents seeing as they live in the middle of hill country...anyway it feels good to work out and I'm glad I've made the commitment. It's also easier to keep the commitment with goals in mind...

Well Arielle is still sleeping so I think I'll sign off and enjoy my caramel macchiato until she wakes up and my day begins. :)

So boom it's winter...

...I love how Manitoba rarely has a lead up to winter...one day it's a cool fall day and boom you wake up the next morning and it's winter! I went to the gym last Thursday and there was no snow on the ground, then when I went on Saturday I had to scrape my car out from under a sheet of ice...*sigh* if Christmas wasn't involved with all this snow I'd get very depressed. Oh and taking pictures of Arielle in her snowsuit make up for any cold because she's so gosh darn cute and can't seem to muscle up the energy to care that it's snow...lol Maybe when she can sit in it I'll take her out again.

Cutest little teddy bear ever!

So her sleep is getting better...she sleeps a bit longer at night which helps her disposition during the day. Naps are still about 30-45 minutes which isn't ideal for mom but she's mostly happy when she's awake so I'm not gonna complain too much.

She's eating cereal now which is a bit earlier than I had anticipated introducing it into her diet but she seemed to need some extra nutrients or at least needed to be more full. She was regressing with her need to nurse and I frankly didn't want to go back to feeding her every two hours. So we gave her some cereal and she loves it!!

She's absolutely hilarious while we feed her and for some reason when Jonathan is home she likes to stare at him which can make it difficult for me to get the spoon in her mouth if he's on the other side of me...haha

She's faring a bit better on the whole making strange thing...mostly because I've figured out that if she gets a chance to get used to a place from the vantage point of my lap then she doesn't mind being held by other people for awhile...she just needs to be able to see me every now and again. I know it's just a phase so I'm trying not to make excuses for her...if she just wants me then she just wants me...lol

Anyway she's down for another nap so I'm going to try and get some food in me before she wakes up in more than likely half an hour...lol
