...honestly it's bizarre. I've heard the sound of baby's heartbeats in the womb before but there is something insanely different when it's your own child. I swear I thought I was in the twilight zone. I'm staring at my husband who's smiling thinking, this is just so REAL now.

So in case you haven't figured out I'm pregnant.

Figured I'd just do all of the big stuff in one year ya know. I mean what the hell. I'll start the year off engaged and end it married (three times) and pregnant...lol It took me thirty years to get here I gotta catch up ya know. :)

Okay so it was kind of cool...I'm lying there and our midwife puts the Doppler on me and realizes the battery is dead...lol I mean honestly talk about making me wait just that much longer! So I'm lying there with this cold lube stuff on waiting for her to find a battery or a Doppler that works...she comes back less than five minutes later but it felt like an eternity. Finally she puts the one that works on and I'm listening...then faintly there it is...a fast heartbeat wow...so cool. Then just because my kid is already a genius he/she apparently swims up closer and it we could hear it so clearly and so strongly...then he/she kicked and we heard it...LOL

Man alive that was too cool...now I gotta find clothes to wear because wow am I running out of things to wear...lol Apparently it's weight gain time and waiting to actually feel him/her moving. This is just so fun and I can't believe it's real. If I'm wearing rose coloured glasses then so be it...I like the view. :)
