We've been handed these moments forever

...and I’m reassured there’s another way. – Josh Groban

Oh for the love! Josh Groban puts on an amazing concert! Seriously it was fantastic I loved the whole thing.

However before I get into the concert I must mention a little comment to my dear girl Gab…it’s true Molly is absolutely insane and downright mean…now my cat is just insane. Here’s the difference. She loves to cuddle and loves to be picked up and actually doesn’t mind my niece Jane (who’s 14 months) whereas Molly would have Jane for dinner. Miss Mao just really likes to play and since my feet happen to be on the ground she attacks them…it’s very funny…you’d like her as opposed to Molly who you hate for good reason…lol See now she’s sitting in my lap just purring hugging my arm while she sleeps cause she is also a suck…lol…okay I rest my case back to Josh and his wonderful singing and surprisingly hilarious humour.

Okay so if anyone has ever heard Josh Groban I figure there is no argument that he is a fantastic vocalist. Seriously his voice is amazing!! I was expecting this and was not disappointed when he opened the show with ‘You are Loved’ which is the song that Jonathan and I danced to at our reception. Gorgeous song it was a cuddle/sappy moment that’s for sure! Throughout the show he did not disappoint at all vocally he even ended with ‘You Raise Me Up’ which is another of my favorites, it always makes me think of my dad.

Anyway what surprised me was the fact that this guy is really funny! Unlike other artists I really knew nothing about him except that he sounds amazing so I was pleasantly surprised that he is also quite funny. An example is his response to the screaming girl fans…they yell I love you he says ‘I love you too’ and then adds ‘you frighten me with your love’…or when he did the song ‘In Her Eyes’ and started singing somewhere in the stands right next to some fans and they didn’t notice at first! LoL So he mocks them later saying ‘I can hear you bickering as I sing ‘harold get the camera he’s right there, I can’t believe it you missed him!’…’ He really was just very funny. I have more stories about that but you get the point, I won’t bog you down with that.

So yeah about the leg, after the show it did hurt a bit but it certainly wasn’t as bad as it was last week. Wow that was not fun. So tomorrow I’m going to the doctor to get it checked out and cleared for me to be able to go back to work. I actually miss work. I know I’m weird. After the doctor’s tomorrow I’m meeting my grandparents at the airport because they’re going to Ontario this week to see my brother-in-law play ball there. So I’m sending along some coffee for my parents because they LOVE that I get free coffee so I’m sharing…aren’t I a great daughter.

They have also finally found a place for us to have our third and final reception which is going to be at the Best Western in Cambridge on October 7th…can’t wait!! It’s going to be such a good time, plus my mom is planning it…so I just have to be involved in some decision making, but mostly I’m showing up with my hubby and dress. How fun does that sound…yippie! I’ll add pics when I can…so fun. Anyway I’m going to attempt to organize a bookshelf…I don’t know how good I’ll be at it so wish me luck. I’ll blog soon!

When you say you love me...

...in that moment I know why I'm alive. - Josh Groban

Why am I quoting Josh Groban? Because I'm going to see him in concert tonight. My birthday present from Jonathan...you know after I said 'I want to go to the Josh Groban concert.' Nothing slips by my husband...lol

The leg is doing a bit better, mostly because I actually took the doctor's advice and have been staying off of it for the last couple of days. It still aches quite a bit if I'm on it too much so tonight will be fun...hopefully the concert will be so good it'll take my mind off of the pain. As will the extra strength Tylenol I'm popping these days. Most of the time it's just a dull ache but sometimes I get hit with a shooting pain...this healing business is just not all that fun...oh well this too shall pass.

I'm sure the concert tonight will boost my spirits...in fact I know it will. Although I have been lucky in this whole thing...I haven't lost out much in regards to wages because worker's comp and Starbucks have been good about reimbursing me what with it being a work injury and all...I just want to get back to work again...i actually like it and find I'm getting a bit bored just sitting around...ps. my cat is insane she is now attacking the pillow I have on the chair...as though she is saving me...oh wait no not saving me she just attacked my elbow...I think it's just an attacking moment or something, either way it is highly entertaining!...lol

Anyway I'm off to go have lunch with my hubby and hang out with him today...first though...pain meds...right...now I'm good...or will be in half an hour...the cat is attacking my heel now...she really is insane.

Let me introduce you to Mrs. Gimp

yup it's true folks I have done the unthinkable, or the thinkable...or the insane...truth be told I did the idiotic. I figured out, the hard way, that my body cannot do the splits...especially the half splits.

Let me set the stage...I have just started work and am in the process of making an amazing mocha frap...however there is a patch of water right in front of the frap station. *cue ominous music now* So Sheri in her efficient and fast way steps over to the frap station...her right heel hits the patch of water and shoots forward...her left leg decides that now is the time to go backwards and her arms come down to stop her from falling into a very bad form of the splits. Too late damage done she has pulled a few muscles in her thigh as well as twisted her knee ever so nicely.

Now the crutches tease her from where they lean against the wall daring her to figure out a way to walk without them.

Stupid patch of water.

So went through a drive thru clinic and got a fifteen second diagnosis of 'pulled muscle' jeez you think? Now, the next day, I'm holed up at home with the leg propped up getting ready to ice it again. However tomorrow I shall venture back to work to slowly start rehabilitating my muscles. They can't atrophy or anything and I suck at this thing they call a healing process...can't it go faster so I can go back to work??

On the plus side I can finally blog, something I haven't done in awhile and check through how other people are doing on their blogs and fully rest in the news that I get to be Nina Sheri in February...YAY baby dela Rosa is going to make his/her entrance into this world at that time and I'm ever so excited about that!!

That's it for my intelligent rant today...on another level if you haven't seen The Simpsons movie then I'd go it's mindless and every so much fun...in fact what makes the movie even better is going to see it with Krista and Vergil and then listening to Vergil and Jonathan giggle the whole time...it was fantastic.

Okay I have to go get that ice pack again...I'm out. :)

The highest courage is to dare to appear to be what one is.

She's back on quotes folks...this one is by John Lancaster Spalding. It's random and I like it. So I'm reading That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis because I'm going back to reading books that actually inspire me to write. I have no idea if it'll work but heck I miss reading. lol I wanted to read the new Harry Potter but I refuse to buy the hardcover on the grounds that I can't afford it. However when all seven come out in paperback I'll hook myself up.

Besides Lewis has way more meat than Rowling I'm sorry to say. I'm also going to tackle Tolstoy, I don't know if that's brave or stupid but I'm gonna do it.

Onto some interesting.

Like the fact that I work at the Starbucks on Taylor if anyone blog related or not would like to come a taste a coffee beverage and meet me in person...if said blogger hadn't done so already...lol

Anyway I'm going to go read some blogs now it's been awhile since I've done that. :)
