It's Christmas...and it doesn't feel like it. I know by now I'm supposed to be in the Christmas spirit by now. I mean commercially I can't go anywhere without a media driven image to remind me of the season as well as the ads telling me what I HAVE to buy to prove my love for my friend's and family. Yet still, doesn't feel like Christmas.

Maybe it's because our family Christmas this year is 'askew' like my mom says. Everything about Christmas this year is abnormal. This makes it highly difficult for me to enjoy Christmas because I've forgotten how to enjoy simple things. I'm too jaded I think.

Honestly who's this pessimistic on Dec. 25th? Me...call me unique, original, an enigma...or just tell me to have a nap, drink some wine and get over it already.

I just wish it was that easy.
