I hang my head in shame

That's what I'm doing right now...hanging my head...in shame. I have been told by reliable sources *mymom* that there are some who are a little upset with me for not blogging...again with the shame.

I apologise with much humility...and beg your forgiveness, you know who you are, lovely people.

Ehm...so let's move on to some blogging shall we?

Now I'm hoping I can get all of it in here but if I forget anything I can always add it to a new blog cause of course I will be blogging more. ;)

Let's start with the insanity of last week. I didn't even have a huge wedding to plan and it was insane. In fact I'll be honest my sister-in-law Joelle and my mother-in-law did the lions share of the planning I take no credit. I just showed up in the dress.

Here's a hint of it:

Yes it's my feet aren't they cute...and the bottom of my dress too? I'm nuts.

Anyway so the morning of the reception starts off raining...and I mean really really raining! Oh and not only was it raining it was freezing...but mom and I decided that there was no way we were going to be grumpy about it...although the outside pictures were going to royally suck...what with me wearing satin and the water not being good for satin.

SO my saint of a photographer shows up while I was getting my makeup done and tells me that he made some calls and a couple of his friends were going to let us take pictures in their homes. And let me tell you their homes looked like show homes...they were gorgeous!! We had two different venues and even though it seemed like we were taking pictures for hours I can't wait to see them.

Plus I got to be a princess with people sticking umbrellas all around me when I got in and out of the van...it was awesome! Although at the end of the day I couldn't wait to get the dress off...because it was impeding my breathing...honestly where are your minds? ;)
See here's the back:

It's not all the way down the back because I don't have a shot of that yet, but hey you can see my hair with Krista's hair clip in it...cute huh. I was actually having a conversation with my mom and my sister-in-law Jenny about flipping the bird...it was highly entertaining...lol

Okay so we got good pics and then we got to the log cabin where the reception was being held and oh my goodness it was decorated so gorgeously. Joelle had basically got some family friends to do the decorating and they did a fantastic job, I was so very impressed.

We had a short ceremony that everyone seemed to love...it was great. My mom's side of the family was all there. My family from California was there! All my uncles on my mom's side were there so I did have some family representation. It wasn't complete I wish my whole family could have been there...but they will be in the THIRD reception which doesn't have a date yet...but when it does I expect to see all of you Ontario blog readers there...with flowers. ;) As well as the Wiebe fam that I missed...a lot...I'm really getting married all year aren't I?

AND I get to wear the dress again...in hotter weather...hopefully not as tight...lol I don't know how ANYONE wore a corset...seriously it was intense...on the plus side I am told I looked good...so that made part of the not being to take deep breaths worth it. :p

So this is my blog today...tomorrow I'm back to work. I'm starting at Starbucks and then working three hours at Fabutan...it should be a full day and after my relaxing honeymoon I'm looking forward to it. Barrier Bay was awesome and just what we needed. I did a lot of napping and sleeping...something I very much needed. PLUS I got to spend all kinds of time with my hubby...who is awesome. :)

I'm signing off now...cause if I don't post it now I won't post it...and I don't want to make anyone else sad. ;) Love you all!!

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

That quote is by Einstein and it seemed to fit my mood so there it is, yet another quote...fun stuff huh? Yeah I know you're all giggling from the joy. Here's another good one:

I believe in looking reality straight in the eye and denying it. Garrison Keillor

Amen! :)

I'm listening to the Broadway 'The Lion King' soundtrack. I heard it in Krista's office and remembered that I like listening to it. I remember going to see it in Toronto with my mom way back in the day when life was normal. It was a great night, one of the best performances I've seen on the stage and I've seen a few. In fact I kind of miss going to those sorts of things.

So I have another story niggling at the back of my mind. *sidenote* How does one niggle? Does it tickle or is it painful? I should check that out...anyway. I have this story that is not really like the ones I've been writing lately yet it is...I'm still working out the details. I'm trying to keep it simple, minimal characters and one location. It sounds good in my head and I've let Krista in on it and she gets it...however she usually gets the stories I think about cause we share a brain. I digress...

As soon as I have a premise of some kind I'll be sure to let you know. That is if you are at all interested. I'm trying to take a new twist on the 'boy meets girl' thing. I mean it's classic, a lot of people like to read about couples falling in love, I'm just hoping not to fall into the trap of the giggly girl falling for the mysterious guy. Or the damsel in distress falling for a guy who saves her while she ends up showing him who he really is. Those are cute stories but cliche...I want to shy away...whether I can accomplish this feat is another thing entirely so wish me luck.
Right so I just finished helping my mom order some books for my dad. read: I ordered the books she gave me the MC number. Anyway as I'm doing this I take her MC number down and say 'I'm just going to read this back to you to make sure I got it correctly' and had a flashback to working at Signpost. LoL Cause throughout the day when I'd work there I would take orders for CD's or tickets and I'd always say that...it was bizarre, complete deja vu.
And my feet hurt in these boots...I need to get new black heeled boots, these ones are starting to wear...I know that was wildly out of context but there you have it.
I should go find some plane ticket info for when Jonathan and I go visit my dad at Easter. I'm just so busy! :)
