The re-post...post

It's funny, I'll open up my blog and think that I have so many things to say and once I get here, I got nothing.

Yesterday I went to one of Jonathan's Aunt's places. She has these annual parties for all of the women in the family, those who are born in as well as married in. Apparently I qualify even if I'm techinically not married to the man yet. :) I met some cousin's I haven't met before and got to know some Aunts I still hadn't talked to...plus I got to hang out with Jonathan's sisters one of whom already is one of my best friends.

In short it was great and it made me kind of sad that I don't live close to my family. I mean I could move to an area where they are but it wouldn't be the same. These people have been nurturing close family relationships for years. It kind of made me sad that my family is all over the map.

It was nice to be welcomed in so whole heartedly. They are a fun group of women I really like them.

And for some reason I didn't post this entry almost a month ago. Rereading it brought me back to that Saturday night which was really quite fun. I wish that my family could be close enough geographically so we could do that. It was a good time.

I also wish I had time for just anything that I actually want to do.

Yeah...still got nuthin'...title idea anyone?

Oh darn it's happening again. I can't think of a title yet I feel like I want to write a post so we'll see where this takes me and who knows, I could come up with a title later. :)

Right okay gotta do this before I forget! Thanks to Whippersnapper for her wonderful idea for me to go and get ice cream. I had forgotten that ice cream is a failure proof decision and enjoyed the success of said decision.

Thanks also to Tim. You're right I've got a great man and when it comes down to it I am very happy to have found him now. Things are starting to look up, thanks for the prayer!! I really willl make it back to church, honest and truly I will. ahaha

It's actually weird now that we may have a wedding date. There still are a couple of things to straighten out so it's not set in stone, but there is peace to be found in realizing that we can actually count down to a day!

We may have found an apartment...we're checking it out tomorrow. It's a sublet that we heard about through Jonathan's mom so hopefully it'll work out. Then all we have to do is buy ourselves a bed and our goals for this month are met.

Oh hey found out something the other day. Jonathan might get to go to Florida for work. I can hear all of you Manitobans groaning. I KNOW! And he can't take me, I'm not a spouse yet and it's for two weeks and I certainly can't leave work for two weeks but FLORIDA people. I could really use a business trip to Florida even if only to feel some warm sunshine for once...I mean the kind of warm sunshine not accompanied by a -30 degree breeze. :p

I'm trying to convince him to let us get the bed before he goes so I can stay in his apartment to take care of the cat and sleep on a new bed...doesn't that sound like a fantastic idea?? Yeah I thought so too...it's tough being brilliant like me.

Saw the funniest cartoon yesterday and had to share:

LOL...I don't know why it was funny...there is actually a series of cartoons about guard duck and his migratory love...but this just struck me as funny.

Enjoy folks...Happy Belated Valentines Day.

It's been awhile

First off I'd like to say thanks to anyone who guessed which sarcastic response did not happen. It was in fact the bread one however I would like to say that a person actually DID ask me that question, I just didn't respond in the way that I wanted. I mean who comes to a bakery and asks if we have bread?

Secondly I'd like to mention that Jonathan and I finally got a car that works! It's a 2003 Hyundai Elantra, it's sliver with tinted windows and it WORKS! :) Jonathan and I were astounded as we drove through the city that the car didn't stall or threaten to stall at red lights and it doesn't take forever to start in the morning, just one turn of the key. WOO HOO! :)

That's the good news, now here comes the bad. For those of you who know this will make more sense for the others I'm sure you'll least understand how it impacts me. My dad, whom I absolutely adore and love cannot under any circumstances make it to my wedding. It's not his fault it's completely out of his control, we tried everything to bring a wedding of some kind to him but no dice, he's not even allowed that.

How does a bride who desperately wants her father to give her away in one of the most symbolic moments of her life deal with this kind of information? I don't know, there has been so much pain already involving my dad that on some level this just feels like another thing to add.

But it's my WEDDING damnit...don't I deserve to at least have one of the most important men in my life there?? Especially since it's dang important for me to have him give my hand to my future husband? I've dreamt about this for as long as I can remember and now it's being taken away from me and there's nothing I can do about it!

Plus I feel mountains of stress from work to perform and do everything right and I still mostly don't have a clue what I'm doing. I'm at home today due to a major migraine (that is stayed now with pain med) because the pressure of everything in my life right now is boiling over into my health.

I don't know what to do I feel like every decision I make right now is failure.
