I can't believe it my little girl is almost three months old! In fact it'll be a week today...the idea that last year at this time I would have to know this date for all of the tests I took at the end of October. Then the question that was asked a zillion times, when was the start of your last period? lol I don't think I could have imagined what a year would bring. Although exactly a year ago I wasn't that thrilled because Jonathan was in St. Louis but I think I've let that go now. ;)Yesterday Jonathan and I were taking pictures of her because she is getting so good at holding her head up I couldn't believe it. She's found her hands and is forever holding them both out in fists as if to say to me 'look mom I found these things and I'm figuring out what they do'. She'll hold onto toys for brief moments although at this point I think the holding is purely accidental...lol She loves to touch stuffed animals because the ones she has each feels different. This morning she was lying next to me in bed running her fingers over a teddy bear...very slowly just watching them go up and down. Then she would coo and giggle with each discovery. It is so amazing literally watching her learn!
My mom came out last week to spend a few days here and she brought some photo albums and my old blanket. I took this thing everywhere in fact I kept it until I was 18 and moved out of the house! I took this picture of Arielle with it she loved the feel of it and just couldn't stop laughing. I personally was in awe...here was this blanket that was on my bed and with me up until I graduated high school and there is MY daughter playing with it. It's kinda like the world stopped a bit I will admit there were tears.Anyway about the photo albums I was looking at baby pictures of me and oh my word can you see the similarities it's almost freaky. There are some pictures of me making the same faces she makes now! From what I can see her eyes and nose are more Banman but her mouth and chin are so me it's nuts. If I ever am able to scan some of these photos in I'll be sure to share.
She is such a delight to be around it's amazing. Her sleeping patterns have gotten much better. For the last three nights she's slept about five and a half hours from her 10 o'clock dream feed. This is amazing to me...I feel so much better during the day although I need to stop waking up at 1 to realize that she's still sleeping so I can be too...lol Her naps are a bit sporadic and sometimes it's a bit of a trial to get her to stay sleeping long enough to get the rest she needs. It's funny she'll fall asleep like an angel with hardly any problems...but then sometimes about 30 minutes in she'll wake up and if I go in there she's all smiles and grins. The problem is if I get her up then she's happy for about a millisecond and then she's tired again...lol So now I've taken to giving her the soother or waiting until the noises she makes are actual cries instead of grunts...lol I'm still learning, but she's a pretty good teacher...not all that patient sometimes but still good. :)

What a beautiful little girl! I can't BELIEVE I haven't met her yet... We need to set something up soon! :) Love the blog, dear Sheri.
